The careless whisper
leaves your parted lips
and sinks in my veins
like sugar coated judgment.
Life has a different meaning
for each person breathing
so hold your breath
and
uncover your eyes
before you confirm your verdict.
Until you have broken in my shoes
and walked a mile on my path,
bite your tounge
and
hang onto your words.
Your lyrics are important
but it's your rhyme that
may not mean a thing
until we are the same.
Opinions are entitled
and
advice is for friends,
but you're twisting my arm
and praying it bends.
