may two-four.

In one hour and thirteen minutes every Canadian's long awaited May 2-4 long weekend that marks the beginning of summer will have come to an end with or without the fireworks, the long talks, the hot and early summer sun, and the barbecues.

I have to say that this past weekend was the best May 2-4 I've ever experienced. On Friday Nick and I just saw a movie and had some tea. Upon hearing some upsetting news earlier that day, my mood had taken a turn for the worst, but Nick helped me get a smile back on my face. I'm still upset about what happened and I wish I could go into more detail for therapeutic purposes but out of respect, I will not say any more. On Saturday I tie dyed with some of my oldest and closest friends. We talked. We ate. We tie dyed. We laughed. We cried. And, of course, we sung. On Sunday, I went grocery shopping and plant shopping with my mom. I helped her plant some flowers and plan dinner! At night, Tash came over and we went for ice cream (don't worry, I ate soy ice cream). Then, today, I went to Vaughan Mills (a mall) in the morning and bought the cutest shirt of life. Then, I came home and tanned in my backyard. I'm upset about my tanning outcome because no matter how long I sit in the sun, my stomach stays white. After tanning, I went to Nick's house where we went for a walk and then he made me a delicious dinner. Throughout the three or so years that we have been dating, we've never cooked for each other. Perhaps that's weird to some people, but I don't care. Tonight was perfect. Since I ate at his house, I decided to help his mom out (who wasn't home at the time) and wash and put away some dishes. Then, I went to Mill Pond (this pond near my house) with Cass, Vic, and Cara. We talked and walked and sang. Then we migrated to McDonald's where we discussed our lives, reminisced and cringed at high school memories (including crushes, blushes, horrifying experiences, and the ones that will never cease to make us laugh). I loved this weekend.

Tomorrow, I'm going to Cara's house to tan on her roof. My goal is to make my stomach at least burn or something. I don't remember the last time my stomach was the same colour as my arms and legs (and trust me, my arms get black in the summer).

I haven't worked out as much as I wanted to this weekend but I have been active. I went for a walk yesterday night, I did an ab work out last night as well, and today I went on two walks (one with Nick and the other with the girls). Plus, I've been spending a lot of time outside. Sweating in the sun makes me so tired (but it also burns calories).

Tomorrow morning I am going to wake up, do an exercise DVD, and get ready to walk to Cara's house for a tanning session. I'm excited. Let's hope my tummy tans.

I remember when I tanned once. My skin was dark brown for a week! I hope your stomach tans!

Sounds like you had a good day.
Agh I'm going to enter high school this August, and why you will be reminiscing all of the embarrassing moments, I'll be living them. :/
