Yesterday, Sigma Alpha Pi (the sorority I am a part of) raised $274.00+ for Haiti Relief after just four hours of cupcake and cookie selling. Monica, our president, baked 100 chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with red ribbon icing decorations and sprinkles to symbolize Haiti's devestating state. I purchased about 60 cookies, including chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, and oatmeal. They were delicious.
I am so proud that this event went well, it's going to bring a great kick to this new semester and the new year.
We have faced a lot of complications, but I think raising about $70.00 an hour certainly changes that.
Yay!
