It isn't enough that we are in a recession but Ontario universities and colleges are raising their tuition costs by 25%. In a time where post-secondary education is extremely important, doing so is just making it extremely difficult for students to attend. Post-secondary school is becoming something only wealthier families can afford. What is the point in that?
When people are in financial misery, they are advised to get an education to support their future. If they can't afford it, they're not going anywhere.
I'm just venting but I think it's a little bit much.
Not everyone has a good paying job these days, in fact not everyone has a job.
