oh, oh, I'm on your side.

Morning!

Last night was a good one. Tash and I went over to Moxies to grab a few drinks. Then, we went to this lounge in the same parking lot, Nava. To much surprise, it was a lame crowd. There was no one except a few creepy guys dancing to typical York Region techno. Nonetheless, we had a few shots (each costing six dollars - what the heck?!) and had some good talks. We took a cab home pretty early but it worked out well because Tash had to be up early this morning and I'm planning on being productive today!

When I got home last night my mom requested that I sign my income tax returns. I was so mad because apparently I'm not even getting one CENT back. My brother is getting $100.00 back for working for not even three weeks. I worked from the second I got home from school until two weeks before school started (four-and-a-half months or so) and I am not getting anything. What is this, Government of Canada?

Apparently, because of the free money I've received from the government in my RESPs (I don't even know if they are called that), which happen to be under my name, I have to pay taxes on that and so my income taxes get screwed over.

I was pissed off because I was really counting on that money to help me through until I started working again. But, that's not the case. I guess we'll just have to make do.

My mom said, "Oh, I'll give you money. Don't worry." I said, "I don't want your money. I want the government's money!" She laughed, but I was pretty serious.

Anyways - today I plan on turning over a new leaf. I'm going to go for a walk after I finish my tea. I think I'm going to go to the library. I want to get some good books to keep me busy for the days I spend at home while my family and Nick work. I have a book I'm reading now called "Still Alice" (I've mentioned it before) but I want to give myself something to do today. I really need to burn off the calories from last night's drinks so I'll do that by walking to the library and taking a look at any potential reads. :)

At some point today I have to go submit my camp contract. It's due today. Hopefully my dad doesn't get home from work too late so he can take me. The camp office isn't too far from my place and all I have to do is drop it into my boss's mailbox!

Oh, oh, oh, I can't believe I didn't mention this! My cousin's wife (who's actually freaking fantastic) is pregnant! She had some trouble with her last pregnancy, which was difficult for everyone, but she's got a new bebe in her. I really hope everything goes well with the pregnancy and that no funny business happens.

Well, that's all I've got to say today, besides the fact that I'm starting kickboxing next week with some of my girlfriends! I'm determined to get into shape and from now on, I'm going to stay away from the drinking. I don't drink that much but when I do, I like the sugary cocktails hehe.

Have a good day. XOXO
